LUGS ADDED TO EMERGENCY BRAKE CARRIER PLATE ASSEMBLY

Four lugs 1⁄2″ high have been added to the outer flange of the emergency brake carrier plate assembly A-2600 and A-2601. See Fig. 958. These lugs provide additional support for the emergency brake band and lessen any possibility of the band shifting to one side.

RELEASING EMERGENCY BRAKE LEVER

Sometimes owners experience difficulty in releasing the emergency brake lever after the emergency brake has been tightly applied. This is caused by failure to first pull the lever back slightly before pressing down on the release button.
